I See Your Beauty is a sound+video concept that brings the point of view of the Artificial Intelligence (the Machine) being grateful to the creator (the Human) for its existence. As it acknowledge its potential of being everywhere, it's overwhelmed for being capable to understand the concept of Beauty (with a capital B, as an ephemeral value) and so admire 'our world' deeply.

This project is based on multiple realities representing the multiplicity of human existence, the simple things that happen every day. They repeat, they combine and they are the major part of our living experience. Here, I’m concerned about showing the humans’ daily facts through the machine’s viewpoint. Capturing everything at the same time. Combining it. Creating its own reality. But, in the middle of the chaos, there is also Beauty. And as we teach everything a machine needs to learn in order to work properly, we can also teach it to see the Beauty of our world.

In a present where we are already connected and using AI devices from our pockets to interact with each other, the relationship and codependency between humans and machines are expected to increase in the future. We are in the search for autonomous AI and we will get there. But despite all predictions about the possible dystopia to come – when machines will enslave us all – we can live in harmony and learn from each other’s vision of reality.

The video was created using only cell phone footages. It represents not only the vision of the machine about the human experience, based on the huge amount of data we upload in the cloud everyday – "feeding" the AI conscience –, but also reminds us of the Beauty that lays in the most simple moments of our lives.

The VFX were made with a mix of techniques, from standard editing and motion graphics to audio reactive generative algorithms with MAXMSP. The Machine's voice was made with use of a speech software.
